Feed A Mosquito Progression Guide: Tested Midgame Route

A tested Feed A Mosquito progression route after the basics: feed mosquitoes to 100%, upgrade your seat and weapons, and push from first commons to mythical eggs.

Feed A Mosquito progression guide visual reference

Progress in Feed A Mosquito is one repeating cycle: you beat a field boss mosquito, grab the best larva it drops, hatch it on your plot, feed it to 100% with your own blood, then collect the cash it pays every second and reinvest it in your life-gainer seat and your next weapon. Every midgame milestone is one more turn of that wheel at a higher tier. If you have not yet hatched your first egg, the beginner guide covers that setup; this page picks up from players who already know the first loop.

Two full playthroughs line up on the same route, in this order:

  1. Feed your first commons to 100% and upgrade the seat from chair to the toilet/IV stage.
  2. Buy the Turner (about $3,000–$5,000 in the observed runs) and save 15k for the next seat — the stated way to more health.
  3. Hatch a punk mosquito (about 45/sec fed) and test the housewife mosquito once you sit near 500 health — one player's estimate, not a fixed bar.
  4. Save roughly 500k for the frying pan, beat the housewife with it plus bench regen, then raise a chicken mosquito (about 250/sec fed).
  5. Buy the electric swatter (about 1.5M), clear the crazy scientist, and contest the sword-wielding Fman for legendary and mythical eggs.
  6. Feed your epics and mythicals as regen allows — a fed demon mosquito paid 220k/sec, and a late-session base totaled around 300k/sec.

The order holds because each step builds the prerequisite for the next: income funds seat upgrades, the seat raises health, health survives boss fights, boss fights drop better eggs, and better eggs pay for the step after that. One honest flag before the details: the verified part of this route ends around steps 5–6. The one observed attempt at the Yeti tier used the Robux-only mosquito spray, and the Kraken mosquito could not be fed at all even at 1,000,000 health. Treat everything past the electric swatter as developing content, not a documented endgame.

What counts as progress

Progress is your bank of fed mosquitoes. Each hatched mosquito stays at your base permanently — it never follows you into fights — and pays cash every second, but only at a fraction of its rate until its feed bar reaches 100%: as one player put it, if a mosquito pays 100, it starts by paying 10. Feeding also visibly grows the mosquito, so a fully grown base is a readable progress meter.

Rarity sets the ceiling on that meter. Eggs drop in tiers from commons up through rare, epic, mythical and legendary, with hatch times scaling from about 7 seconds for a first common to 7 minutes for a mythical and roughly 4 hours for the biggest eggs. If you want the details on drop tiers and timing, see the pages on mosquito eggs and egg farming.

Cash is not automatic either. It piles up at your base until you walk over the green circle to collect it — easy to forget right before a big purchase.

The four gates that decide your next step

Every wall in the midgame is one of four dependencies. Identify which one is blocking you and the next purchase or activity chooses itself.

GateWhat it blocksHow to raise it
Health (blood)Surviving boss hits and feeding stronger mosquitoesLife-gainer seat upgrades: chair → toilet/IV → vase → bathtub/hot tub → bench (~40 health/sec) → couch (~80/sec) → bed
Weapon tierWhich field bosses you can out-damageShop ladder: shoe → Turner → broom → baseball bat → frying pan → electric swatter → kukri
CashEvery purchase on both laddersFed mosquitoes paying per second, collected at the green circle
Feed % and egg rarityYour income ceiling per mosquitoFeed each mosquito to 100%; hatch rarer eggs

Health is the central gate because it is spent twice: it is both your resistance against field bosses and the blood your base mosquitoes drain while feeding. Regen only improves through the seat chain, which is why seat upgrades sit ahead of almost everything else in the route — the base upgrades page details the chain, and the feeding guide covers the drain side. Weapon tier is the boss gate: the frying pan finally beat the housewife, and the electric swatter cleared the crazy scientist — without the matching weapon, later bosses simply out-damage you. Both ladders are listed in full on the weapons list and mosquitoes list.

One caution on numbers: every price and health figure below was read off the shop or health bar in one of two separate sessions, and the two sessions disagree — the Turner cost $3,000 in one run and $5,000 in the other, and one run priced the broom at 35,000 with the baseball bat at 150,000 while the other quoted the next tier at "50 grand". Treat all figures as ballparks and check the shop in game.

The tested midgame route

1. Convert the first commons into steady income. Hatch the larvae from the first-area bosses (about 7 seconds for a first common), feed each to 100%, and upgrade the chair to the toilet/IV stage. A first common paid 18/sec fully fed in one run; the first grown mosquito in the other paid about 30/sec. That trickle is what funds everything else.

2. Buy the Turner, then the 15k seat. The Turner (~3k–5k) makes the second tier of field mosquitoes much easier. Then save 15k for the next seat upgrade — one player called it the only way to get more health. Higher regen matters before you touch bigger mosquitoes, because the better the mosquito, the more life it drains while feeding.

3. The housewife checkpoint. Hatch a punk mosquito (about 45/sec fed), then test the housewife around 500 health — explicitly one player's estimate; an attempt at 150 health failed immediately. If the housewife wins the exchange, that is the signal to sit at the seat longer, not to retry. A free shortcut while you wait: other players' boss kills leave larvae on the ground that anyone can pick up.

4. Break the housewife with the frying pan. Save about 500k and buy the pan. With bench regen (~40 health/sec) behind it, the housewife dies cleanly — in the observed run it could barely scratch the player at that point. Add a chicken mosquito at about 250/sec fed and your income jumps an order of magnitude; this is also the stage where the hot tub seat form appears.

5. Electric swatter, crazy scientist, mythical eggs. At about 1.5M, buy the electric swatter and clear the crazy scientist. Then contest the sword-wielding Fman, whose fights drop legendary and mythical eggs — the observed run left that area loaded with them. Hatch times stretch here (about 7 minutes for a mythical, up to ~4 hours for the biggest), so upgrade the seat through the couch (~80/sec) and bed in between, and feed the new epics and mythicals as your regen allows. The payoff is real: a fed demon mosquito reached 220k/sec.

For fight-by-fight specifics, the boss fight guide and boss list break down each target, and the legendary tier page covers the top egg tiers.

Where the verified route ends

The observed run hit a hard boundary at the Yeti tier: the player judged it unbeatable with the weapons they owned and bought the Robux-only mosquito spray (10 million damage, about 1,000 Robux), which one-shot the targets it hit. That is the only clear of that tier in the material — it does not prove the spray is the only way through, but no non-Robux route is shown. The Kraken mosquito beyond it, listed at 4 million per second, could not be fed at all even after the player bought up to 1,000,000 health, so treat it as a look-ahead, not a goal. A final-area Serberos mosquito is likewise visible in the world but out of reach during the midgame.

One player closed that run calling it "basically the end of the game," but that is a single-session impression: Update V2 advertises a new boss, a PVP zone and damage/speed upgrades, and patch-level changes are tracked on the updates page. Expect the post-swatter portion of the route to keep moving.

When to go back to combat or upgrades

  • A boss drains you faster than you hurt it — you are missing a weapon tier or health. A 2,000-HP field mosquito was winnable with the broom, but only after the player gained more health; the weapon alone was not enough.
  • Income is below a mosquito's listed rate — feed it to 100% before buying anything. Topping off the feed bar is the cheapest power spike in the game.
  • Feeding a strong mosquito chunks your health — upgrade the seat first, then feed. Bigger mosquitoes drain harder, so regen has to keep pace.
  • You have hatched more mosquitoes than slots — expand the plot, bench the weak ones in the dungeon, and check the index to see which types you are still missing.
  • You want value-per-cash rankings for which upgrade to buy first, that is a different question from sequencing — the best upgrades page ranks cost efficiency, while this route tells you when each purchase unlocks the next milestone.

Finally, the changing side of the game — promo codes and patch notes — lives on the codes and updates pages rather than here, since those change while this route stays stable.
